National Poetry Contest

We're at the National Poetry Contest Finals. We're down to two finalist:

One is a Duke University Law School student from a very well to do family, the other is a Redneck from South East Alabama A&M.

The rules are: the contestants have 60 seconds to compose a four line poem which must contain the word Timbuktu.

The clock starts, the men are thinking... After about 30 seconds the Duke student jumps up and says:

"Slowly across the desert sand

Treks the dusty caravan

Men on camels, two by two

Destination Timbuktu."

The crowd went wild. How on earth could the redneck top that? So the Aggie stands up and slowly walks to the microphone, then says:

"Tim and me a huntin' we went

Met three whores in a pop up tent

They was three and we was two

So I bucked one and Timbuktu."
